Q. How often can I order my credit report?

You can request copies of your credit report as often as you like. Plus, credit grantors will not see an inquiry. However, when you request your credit report, you'll be able to see an inquiry showing you requested your credit report. This is what's called a "below the line" inquiry.

Q. How do I fix an error on my credit report?

After reviewing your credit report, if there is a legitimate error, simply call or write the credit bureau (as instructed on your credit report). A complete investigation will take place to verify the discrepancy. The credit bureau will provide you with the results of the investigation once it is complete. Typically, this process takes about 30 days. There is no cost to dispute credit information.
